Bartholomew Bakehouse, a beloved artisan bakery in Toronto, partnered with Nomad Cre8tive to refresh their visual identity, branding, and packaging design while preserving the warmth and heritage at the heart of their brand. The goal was to create a system that felt both modern and traditional, celebrating craftsmanship, storytelling, and the bakery’s handmade roots.

We expanded on the bakery’s existing illustrated character, developing a series of expressive brand illustrations alongside custom drawings of their signature pastries and sourdough, each based directly on the products made in their bakehouse. These illustrations became a central part of the bakery’s visual storytelling and brand identity.

A primarily black and white palette, with sparing touches of yellow, paired with elegant serif and handwritten typography to evoke a rustic, welcoming, and artisanal feel. The refreshed bakery branding and packaging design was applied across a full suite of packaging and merchandise including coffee cups, pastry boxes, bread bags, takeaway bags, and more.
